Free · one email a week · no jargon
AI, business and money, explained from A to Z.
One short lesson a day, from the ground up. Every Sunday, the notes: the 5 lessons that mattered this week, in 5 minutes, with one workflow you can copy.
What a lesson looks like
Two minutes. One subject, start to finish. Nothing you need to already know.

How a recession works
The trigger, the loop, the brakes, the recovery. 2008 took 18 months, 2020 took 2.

What is an AI agent?
8 slides. The difference with a chatbot, how it loops, what it can do today, the catch.
How it works
Downstairs, the noise. Upstairs, the lesson.

A lesson a day
Every day, one subject explained from A to Z in about 2 minutes: a video, or a carousel you can read without sound. On TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
-
The notes, every Sunday
The 5 lessons that mattered this week, in a 5-minute email. Plus one workflow you can copy as is, and the sources behind every number.

No hot takes, no homework
No jargon, no affiliate links dressed up as advice, no 47-step morning routine. When something is a rumor, we say rumor. When we don't know, we say so.

Who's upstairs
Built in public, by one person.
Four years building online, solo. Three SaaS. An AI character that went from 0 to 218,000 TikTok followers in 9 days. Upstairs is what that work taught, written so anyone can use it: an employee, a boss, a freelancer, a student.
The numbers behind it are posted every day on X, screenshots included: @luisships. We just started. You're early.
The free guide
Give your AI a memory.
Most people re-explain their work to AI every single time. This guide sets up the opposite: one folder your AI reads, writes and keeps tidy, so every question builds on the last one.
- The folder structure: raw sources, a wiki your AI writes, an index, a log it can't erase.
- The rules file your AI reads before every session. Copy, paste, adjust.
- 3 routines: add a source, ask a question, run a monthly check-up.
- Obsidian is free. No code. About an hour to set up.
Questions
Short answers.
Is it really free?
Yes. The guide, the daily lessons and the Sunday notes are free. If we ever build something paid, it will be a separate thing, said out loud, and the notes will stay free.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You install Obsidian (free), copy a folder and a rules file, and talk to your AI in plain English. The guide walks you through every step.
Which AI does it work with?
Any AI assistant that can read and write files on your computer. The guide uses Claude Code: the second brain behind Upstairs has run on it since July 2026.
How much email is that?
One, on Sunday. The daily lessons live on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, not in your inbox.
Who is this for?
Anyone who works with, or around, AI and money: an employee, a boss, a freelancer, a student. No technical background needed. Everything starts from zero.
Is this financial advice?
No. Upstairs explains how things work. It never tells you what to buy or sell, and it never will.
Where do the numbers come from?
Every figure in a lesson is checked against an official source or two independent ones before it goes out. The sources are listed in the Sunday notes.
